Not uncommon, but still nice.My final comment on this book is that I liked how it was a good feel of a mix of the old and new. I could see it coming a mile off, honestly, but to see the pieces of the conflict going on inside Crowfeather was a nice touch. Time will tell on that, too, I suppose. And I was very interested to see the budding relationship between Leafpool and Crowfeather. We already know him to ambitious, and we know he looks up to Tigerstar, and so it's not a far stretch to think that he might have been covering his own tail when he repented for his actions with Mudclaw. But I saw no hint of that anywhere else, and I'm hoping there's some elaboration later on.Hawkfrost is either a brilliant liar, misunderstood, or a mix of both, and I'm inclined to believe the last option. Normally the foreshadowing in this series as very heavyhanded, and understandably so since the books were written for a younger audience. The hint that Mothwing might have planted her own sign to become a medicine cat was wonderfully done. It felt somewhat like this book was an 'in between' book, not as filled with action and adventure as a lot of the others were, but instead focusing more on telling a lot of what happens when things don't involve fighting.I was intruiged at numerous places in this book. I was stuck at the end of book 3 for what felt like ages! But the other day I finally got my chance to continue with the story. This book held a lot of interesting developments for the characters Aside from all four Clans growing more accustomed to their new home, we get to see a lot of developing relationships. Finding this book was tricky for me, since it seemed that none of the local libraries had it, and having been unemployed for so long, I couldn't just go out and buy a copy.

Warriors the new prophecy twilight

They live in a human settlement on an alien planet where they are not allowed to hunt for food or have fire touch the ground. You have an older sister taking care of a younger brother that doesn't always think things through. I read this book a few months ago and really enjoyed it. I definitely want to continue the journey in the next book in the series! *I received a free copy of this book for an honest review. I liked this story quite a bit! I definitely suggest reading or listening to the audiobook. As she struggles with her own issues she soon learns that she will also have to contend with other evil races that settled on Dakkar and evils that are a bit closer to home. Though out this story Luna does go on a journey of personal growth though that makes up for that. She acted a immaturely and ignorantly and that's just not my type of heroine. Luna drove me nuts at the beginning because she had little cultural sensitivity or awareness which is what pretty much was the reason her brother got her into this mess in the first place. She thinks that will become a concubine of the Hordes king but no he has other plans in mind. She agrees to exchange her life to live with the Horde (Dakkan natives) To make up for a huge cultural mistake of her brother. Yes this seems like a weird mix but it totally works! Luna our Heroine Is from a Earth family that settled in a human town on the planet Dakkan. Ok so as the headline suggests this book summed up is pretty much Alien, Dothraki( from GOT) with the story line from a Scottish Romance. Each audiobook follows a different couple and can be listened to as a stand-alone. It kicks off the brand-new series, Horde Kings of Dakkar. He wants me as his queen.Ĭaptive of the Horde King is a full-length science fiction romance audiobook with a 'happily ever after' ending. But as I struggle with my new reality, I discover that the surly, mysterious, dominant horde king never intended for me to be his concubine. I agree to warm his furs, travel with his horde across the wild lands of Dakkar, and never see my family again. I sell myself to the horde king as his war prize. In order to save my brother’s life, I do the unthinkable. Unfortunately, the same couldn’t be said for my brother, and one careless mistake brings a horde of the nomadic, barbarian Dakkari straight to our doorstep, led by their powerful horde king - a cold, ruthless, battle-scarred warrior demanding retribution. On the unforgiving planet of Dakkar, I did what all the humans in our village did: kept my head down, worked to provide for my family, and certainly didn’t break any Dakkari laws to risk inciting the alien race’s merciless wrath.
