You have an older sister taking care of a younger brother that doesn't always think things through. I read this book a few months ago and really enjoyed it. I definitely want to continue the journey in the next book in the series! *I received a free copy of this book for an honest review. I liked this story quite a bit! I definitely suggest reading or listening to the audiobook. As she struggles with her own issues she soon learns that she will also have to contend with other evil races that settled on Dakkar and evils that are a bit closer to home. Though out this story Luna does go on a journey of personal growth though that makes up for that. She acted a immaturely and ignorantly and that's just not my type of heroine. Luna drove me nuts at the beginning because she had little cultural sensitivity or awareness which is what pretty much was the reason her brother got her into this mess in the first place. She thinks that will become a concubine of the Hordes king but no he has other plans in mind. She agrees to exchange her life to live with the Horde (Dakkan natives) To make up for a huge cultural mistake of her brother.

Yes this seems like a weird mix but it totally works! Luna our Heroine Is from a Earth family that settled in a human town on the planet Dakkan. Ok so as the headline suggests this book summed up is pretty much Alien, Dothraki( from GOT) with the story line from a Scottish Romance. Each audiobook follows a different couple and can be listened to as a stand-alone. It kicks off the brand-new series, Horde Kings of Dakkar. He wants me as his queen.Ĭaptive of the Horde King is a full-length science fiction romance audiobook with a 'happily ever after' ending. But as I struggle with my new reality, I discover that the surly, mysterious, dominant horde king never intended for me to be his concubine. I agree to warm his furs, travel with his horde across the wild lands of Dakkar, and never see my family again. I sell myself to the horde king as his war prize.
